Is it possible to treat scabies with tea tree oil? Yes, if utilized the correct way.
Access Nutriceutical's product called "Scabies Killer" utilizes an essential oil based treatment that consists of a mixture of essential oils. One of which is tea tree oil which is also known as melaleuca.
During our search for a natural remedy to cure ourselves of scabies I happened across a few websites that mentioned the use of tea tree oil as a scabies cure.
The only thing you will need to be aware of is the fact that the oil can desensitize you if you use it in pure doses directly on your skin.
It is not a good idea to use it pure; the oil will need to be diluted with a carrier oil to be sure you are not going to burn your skin. Essential oils must be used with caution, especially in its pure form.
Carrier Oils for Tea Tree Oil
A few carrier oils that is necessary to mix with the tea tree oil are coconut oil, olive oil or jajoba oil. These oils will help to take the oil deeper into the skin. Deeper to where the scabies, female mite burrows itself.
