Shingles vs. Chicken Pox

Why is shingles associated with chicken pox? Apparently, the story is, if you've ever had chicken pox then you have contracted the herpes virus that lays dormant inside of you waiting for your immune system to get weak so it can pounce on your cells and give you a herpes outbreak.

That is what I've learned so far about it.

Day 1- Events Leading Up to Shingles Attack

I had a long week away from home, it was supposed to be a vacation but stressed out about my finances and taking care of my children's needs and education on a limited budget.

Upon returning home, went tired and fatigued for all the shopping and late night outs I was needed immediately at work.

After a full week of work, on Friday night, I attended an all night Relay For Life Event. I was tired, but I was willing to stick it out all the way till the end.

Turned out to be not such a good idea.
